Monitor, the television equivalent of a boat without a motor!
Cheeseball analogy. No motor. No water.
Why you can save money and when you should, by buying a monitor...
MONITOR: Also known as "HDTV ready"
But they aren’t ready. Not really. If you buy a MONITOR, it has no tuner. No picture source. You’ll have to buy the tuner separately, or use a satellite, cable box or VCR tuner (but the VCR is bad idea as the technology is old unless you buy an HDTV VCR.)
MONITOR prices are lower because there’s no tuner in a monitor.
An EDTV Monitor would be the cheapest way into Plasma. Enhanced Definition isn't HIGH definition, and you aren't paying for a tuner either. Both save you money.
